LEALPELL LEATHER

One of the core activities Fi Thomas Partnering in Design carries out is the promotion of top end design orientated products to the A & D market place. I have the privilege of working with Simple Studio to introduces the Lealpell Leather collection from Italy to Sydney and Melbourne.

Lealpell leather is a world leader in the production of high quality upholstery leathers for high-end contract and luxury residential projects as well as the prestige automotive, marine and executive aviation industry. Established over 40 years ago in Giussano Italy, Lealpell is a family-owned business producing Chromium tanned, Aniline dyed leathers from the finest quality European Cattle skins.

Renowned for their beautiful, full grain, pure Aniline hides, Lealpell leathers adorn the designs of some of the most exclusive brands in the world including B&B Italia, Living Divani, Poltrona Frau, Poliform, Edra, Molteni, Fendi and Aston Martin.

Simple Studio is proud to present a hand-picked range of 16 different qualities and over 300 colours to the Australian market. Should there not be a leather to suit your project contained within this kit, a further 28 qualities are available upon request.

All hides are stocked in Milan and are indented via air freight, with a lead time of approximately 10-14 days from order. As with all leather products, the scars, natural markings and subtle colour variations characterise the natural beauty of Aniline leathers and are not considered to be faults.

FREDDY'S CAFE

FREDDY’S CAFÉ REFURBISHMENT           FEBRUARY 2013

Last month I provided interior decoration services to Freddy’s Café in Sydney.
The owners wanted to give the café a facelift, make the space more contemporary and better suited to eat in within a relaxed space.
The furniture and finishes selected reflected the owner’s desire for a playful space combined with some sophisticated detailing on the joinery.
The use of colors in the wall tiles and furniture complimented the monochromatic backdrop on the walls, floors and ceiling. The use of timber added warmth and worked well within this color scheme.
The end result met the client’s brief and has been well received by Freddy’s customers.
